What if I can't Foster or Adopt?

We're a small local shelter, emphasis on small, so we can always use a helping hand. So whether you live in Sunny California or on the other side of the world you can still make a HUGE difference.
​If you're dedicated and want to get involved but are not quite sure how you fit in just keep reading! We'll try to answer as many questions as we can. There are more ways to help us than just fostering, or adopting and we would love nothing more than to help you in your philanthropic journey.

We believe that every Furball deserves a loving home, and we're calling on passionate individuals like you to join our team of dedicated volunteers. With your help, we can make a greater impact on the lives of these adorable animals. There are various ways you can contribute, and we welcome all hands on deck!

At Furballs Furever we believe that every act of kindness, big or small, contributes to the well-being of our Furballs.   • Are you a social media enthusiast with a heart for animals? Help us spread the word about our lovable Furballs by posting on social media platforms. We're actively seeking creative individuals to share adoption stories, foster opportunities, and help raise awareness. Just a few posts a week can make a significant difference!

  • Inspire our community to get involved in fostering, adopting, and celebrating the successes of our Furball family. As a Social Coordinator, you'll play a vital role in coordinating monthly emails to keep everyone informed about the latest happenings in our community. Recognize Gotcha days and birthdays, and help us build a stronger, more connected Furball community.

  • Calling all feline enthusiasts! If you have a soft spot for kitties and want to make a direct impact, consider becoming a Petsmart Cattery Cuddler in La Jolla or Pacific Beach. Spend quality time with our adorable cats, provide love and attention, and ensure their well-being during their stay. Your dedication helps create a comfortable and enriching environment for our furry friends.

  • Join us each month for exciting adoption and fundraising events! As an Event Volunteer, you'll have the chance to interact with our adoptable Furballs, answer questions about our rescue, be a puppy/kitty cuddler and make a positive impact. It's a fun and rewarding way to contribute your time.

  • Become a crucial part of our team by coordinating supplies and donations. This role involves managing drop-offs and pickups with fosters, maintaining a spreadsheet to track inventory, and keeping an eye on various platforms for gently used supplies. Help us ensure our Furballs have everything they need to thrive.

  • Are you a reliable and compassionate individual with a love for animals? We're in search of Transport Heroes to help shuttle our Furballs to and from various places. Whether it's a vet appointment, a foster home, or an adoption event, your assistance ensures our Furballs get the care and attention they need. Join us in making a difference on the move!
