What if I can't Foster or Adopt?
We're a small local shelter, emphasis on small, so we can always use a helping hand. So whether you live in Sunny California or on the other side of the world you can still make a HUGE difference.
If you're dedicated and want to get involved but are not quite sure how you fit in just keep reading! We'll try to answer as many questions as we can. There are more ways to help us than just fostering, or adopting and we would love nothing more than to help you in your philanthropic journey.
You'll be surprised by just how many ways you can help us save our Furball cats and dogs.

What are some ways I can help?
We need help in almost every aspect from running admin, handling meet and greets, collecting dogs, and planning fun events... all hands are on deck! We are all volunteers so the more of us that there are the easier it becomes, so please take a look at our in-person opportunities:
Social Media: Help spread the word about these cuties and post on social media to help get these Furballs adopted, fosters, or medical they need! We are Actively looking for creative people to post at least once or twice a week!
Social Coordinator: Help inspire our community to help foster, adopt, or even share success stories! We are looking for someone to coordinate monthly emails to spread the word that is going on in the Furball community. Congratulation on Gotcha days and birthday celebration. This is something we like to start doing but don't have the volunteer power yet.
Event Volunteer: Event volunteers are asked to join us each month, as their schedule permits, as we host adoption and fundraising events. This in our opinion is the most fun as you get to hang out with all of our adoptable Furballs during the event. Here is where you will also answer any questions that people may have about the rescue or the animals.
Supply/Donations Coordinator: Supply/donation coordinators are very important to us. If you decide this is the job for you, you will be responsible for coordinating drop off/pickup of supply returns with fosters. You will also be responsible for cataloging the supplies we have loaned out and taken back in a spreadsheet so that we can keep inventory on various supplies. To lessen the driving load we recommend coordinating a halfway point with the foster. This role would also include coordinating the intake of supply donations, and monitoring Facebook Marketplace, Nextdoor, Craigslist etc. for gently used “freebies”.

How can I help if I'm not local?
For those that are not local here are some opportunities to help us out online:
Sponsor: Sometimes you see an animal and immediately fall in love. We are always looking for medical sponsors we also have an Amazon page where you can donate supplies from a distance!
*please note that being a home checker is available to our online volunteers as well but is listed above for in-person opportunities*
